HIT The Ground Running…

Well,  that was an interesting week.  After coming down from the high on the Sunday following graduation I spent my Monday sorting out paperwork and setting up my business insurance so that I knew that I was ready to hit the ground running.

I posted on Social Media channels that I was now ready and open for business and shared to all the relevant local groups.

INTERVIEWED LIVE ON THE RADIO.

Tuesday was a whole new adventure, for the first time in my life I was being interviewed live on the radio. I had been offered an interview by Ashdown Radio my local radio station to talk about hypnotherapy.  However, nervous I may have been I knew that this was an amazing opportunity to let the local community know about the benefits of hypnotherapy and dispel some of the myths surrounding it.

Having applied some hypnotherapy techniques on myself to help with the nerves and give me confidence I walked into the station.  The DJ who was interviewing me was amazing and he helped me feel at ease from the start.

Once the interview started I managed to ignore the massive microphone in front of me and focus on the person sat opposite me, from that moment I was able to treat the interview just like a conversation.  It gave me the opportunity to explain how cognitive hypnotherapy treats the person and not the label and that it is nothing like the stage hypnotists that are seen on TV.

The 12 minutes of the interview seemed to fly by and it was actually a shock when the interview came to an end.  Looking back on the interview,  I actually feel quite proud of myself that I did it,  I’m not saying that I’m looking to become a radio presenter in the future but if I was offered another interview I would definitely jump on the opportunity.

COGNITIVE HYPNOTHERAPIST

Now, that the first week is behind me I am looking forward to my new life as a cognitive hypnotherapist and helping people to live their best lives.
